SPECIALIST PRACTICE

Energy & Infrastructure Projects

Consulting & Contracting

A career spent inside the world's largest energy and infrastructure projects — advising governments, developers, lenders and shipowners on the documents, the financing and the delivery. That same discipline, brought to your project, from first structuring to financial close.

Major projects are won and lost on how the detail is held together.

My practice was built on energy infrastructure — LNG import and export terminals, floating production and storage, upstream developments and the financings behind them — across North and South America, Africa, Asia, Australasia and Europe. It is work defined by scale, speed and complexity: dozens of counterparties, several jurisdictions, and a contract suite that has to lock together before anything moves.

That is a discipline before it is a sector. Whether your project is a terminal, a plant, a fleet or an infrastructure programme, the value I bring is the same — a senior pair of hands that knows the documents, understands the financing, and keeps a many-sided deal moving toward close.

TWO WAYS TO ENGAGE

Consulting when you need the answer. Contracting when you need the hands.

I
CONSULTING

Advisory on structure, risk, financing and the contract strategy for a project — reviewing what is on the table, spotting what is missing, and telling you plainly where the exposure sits. The counsel a developer, lender or investor needs to move with confidence.

II
CONTRACTING

Embedded delivery — drafting and negotiating the full documentation suite and running it to close, to your timetable and reporting line. Partner-level project capability on the team for as long as the project needs it, without a permanent hire.

Selected projects

Roles held on behalf of developers, lenders, investors & owners
3 weeks
GERMANY · LNG IMPORT TERMINAL

A national LNG import terminal delivered start-to-finish in three weeks — infrastructure capable of replacing around 30% of the country's imported gas. Acting for the developer opposite the state directly.

~$27bn
ARCTIC · LNG PLANT PROGRAMME

Financing for three of the world's first ice-class carriers serving a $27bn LNG plant programme — long-term charters, conversion and the underlying project documents.

~$2bn
NORTH AMERICA · UPSTREAM & FLNG

A newbuild floating-LNG project, advising on both the EPC construction contract and the export-credit financing behind it.

$1.2bn
SENEGAL & MAURITANIA · FLNG

Project financing of the first floating-LNG unit deployed in a major West African gas field — with the EPC, chartering and quiet-enjoyment documents beneath it.

6.5%
ITALY · FSRU IMPORT PROJECT

A floating storage & regasification project supplying roughly 6.5% of national gas demand — lifting the country's regasification capacity past a quarter of its needs.

£500m+
UNITED KINGDOM · RENEWABLES

A biomass gas-to-grid renewable project, part of an ongoing portfolio investment of over £500m into the sector.

Further work spans FPSO financings in Angola, India and the North Sea, LNG carrier and bunkering programmes, and gas-to-power projects in Ghana, Bangladesh, El Salvador and Singapore — a fuller schedule is available on request.

Across the whole documentation suite

One adviser fluent in the three bodies of paper a project has to reconcile — so they are negotiated as one deal, not three.
